Trinity - Play Fairfax Theatre reviews
The artists were fantastic... the engineers though
There was no disappointment in the live talent of all three renowned vocalists who were fun and engaging while still sounding as great as they could. From Cassadee to the high energy and fun encore, all of the artists were spectacular. This brings me to my only criticism.
When Trinity - Play performed I chalked the poor mix which distorted her voice to the downside of touring with a baritone headliner and a crew which cut corners during the sound check. The audio engineers did a terrible job. As the show continued it was clear that she wasn't the only victim of said cut corners.
The vocalists were mixed to compensate for this, the instrumentals were way too loud, while it ended up throwing everything sharp and ruining the overall quality. This even appeared to disturb the artists, as I've never seen so many instances where vocalists had to continue to adjust their personal monitors throughout the show.
In summation: I just hope they aren't burdened with unprofessional engineers for the rest of their tour, the artists did not disappoint and I look forward to seeing any or all of them again.
